Not sure what's up but none of them work. The sound for both channels is always on no matter what position either volume fader or the crossfader is on.
I looked at the 57 button cleaning guide on wiki to make sure the ribbon cables are connected correctly and they appear to be.
Any other suggestions? I haven't changed any settings or anything. Just cleaned the b-buttons.
thanks

You probably burned out the faders, the pin connections are really really really sensitive. You have to place them correctly or they will short out. If you look at the ribbons, there will be one side with a red line. That will correspond with the side of the PC board with a number 1.
This should be stated in the Wiki, because it is very easy to miss place the pin back in.
You should contact Rane.

this happened to me once. don't feel bad, it's easy to do. rane will replace them for free...too bad you have to ship it to make that happen.

I would try unplugging the ribbon cable and putting them back again just to check. Failing that it's back to Rane.

That's exactly why I didn't remove the entire plate when I cleaned my B buttons. I left the faders connected, had my girl hold it up while I cleaned em. Although the volume light ribbon came out and I almost shit myself because I thought I ripped it out, the end of the ribbon just looks like that though.

That is not a proof that it has fried. It could be a loose connection.

I checked the connections they all looked good.
I ended up sending the mixer in today to get fixed. I hope it comes back soon because I seriously MISS it already (which is disturbing).
Thanks for the suggestions

i realize it could be a loose connection, but that would mean only that 1 fader with the loose connection wouldn't work. Prinvale said that he's having this problem with all of his faders. As I said before, this is exactly the problem I encountered and fried faders was my problem. It's easy to screw up if you don't know to follow the little details (c)the red stripe on the fader ribbon.
Yes Nik, it's possible that there's another issue, but my personal experience tells me:

negative, but I hope it gets back before the weekend. This weekend was not good. Had to use this crappy numark mixer that felt like something from toys-R-us. It was painful.
