Final verdict on the RR10mix case

So is the foam too big or not? I've read on here some of you think the foam needs to be cut and others that say it's fine the way it is. GC tells me that they sold me the right product and the joysticks and gains will be fine, Road Ready on the other hand is telling me that I got the wrong case and I should buy the 56 case or have one custom built.

Do you mean the foam on the top? I JUST got that case yesterday and I love it, but it never occured to me that the foam at the top would be a problem.

I have had the case for a year with no foam cut out. No problems yet!

i've had this case with my 56 and now my 57, the foam on the top doesn't affect me in the slightest.

Btw, for future reference I've gotten better advice from a rock in my back yard than from a guitar center rep. don't listen to a damn thing they said, i'm pretty sure Road Ready guys know their cases better than the GC reps do.

+1. Seems like a good case. No issues so far. Been using it since I started taking the board with me to the club (after VSL dropped).... but never thought about the impact of the foam on the joysticks and knobs!

That's the case I have, only problem....IT'S HUGE! I dunno why, but it seems too big to bring to a gig. I usually take it out of the case so I don't look like i'm using an American DJ Mixer from the 80's or something.

I have that case. I just ripped the foam off, cut it in half and glued it back on the sides next to each upfader. Works for me.

I did put my mixer in backwards after a drunk saturday the past weekend and noticed a bunch of indents in the foam when I opened it up Sunday, but when installed correctly, it looks like it only one small area actully contacts the foam. I still suggest this is the right case for the mixer (except like djtripp said, its about 48" too long!)

If all you do is DJ in different clubs and you're not part of a touring band I don't think a case matters....

You would have to check your mixer in then everytime you fly. I always carry my mixer on the plane with me and I think its safer that way.

I've owned this case for both my Vestax 07 Pro and now my 57 and no problems.

I use this case and it works fine. I actually remove the top cover to where the cables are accessed. I also actually lift the mixer up about 1/4" to lift the holes up for Headphone access on the front panel.

I've had this case for year and a half with my 56, it's fine but the only prob is you can't take it on board a flight, i have put it under and it's come out the other end with both the fader curve knobs broken off on the front panel. I just bought a 57 and i'm getting a small custom built case for it so i can take it on board planes. there's no way that i'm checking it in as luggage.
