Installed Itch on Sony Vaio Model Number VGN-NW310F installed itch 3 years ago and have upgraded software, optimized itch for use with Windows 7, analyzed all files. After the recent upgrade to 2.2 I'll start itch, play the system, and at the end on the set, click the X to shut down and the "Yes-No" message appears and I'll click Yes and an error message will appear that "Itch has stopped working." I'm concerned that this might happen during my set at the club. Please advise.

Hey Matt P,
It is quite the bummer when I transferred all of the files to a new Sony Vaio same model and the same error message appears.
In addition, here is a thread in the Serato forum that someone other than me is having the same problem.
serato.com
What other information will you need from me to help resolve this problem that I have? Please advise.
Thank you and to all of the participants on this forum for helping.

Hi Paul Natto,
Can you run a DPC trace Report when you reproduce the crash, i'll take a look at it and see if i can help out. serato.com
This is a hardware related issue, So its out of our hands unfortunately.
You should contact Sony to help disable your motion eye function. That may help.
I've checked the other thread here, which is more library related, We are currently working on allowing for larger libraries with ITCH.
Hope that helps,
Matt P

Paul Natto,
Heres some things that are giving you grief
USBPORT.SYS (USB port driver)
* Try connecting to a different USB port.
* Use a different USB cable.
* Go to your computer manufacturer's website and check if there you are using the most up-to-date drivers.
* Try using an external power supply for your hardware.
ntoskrnl.exe
This one is a bit trickier, it's a fairly core Windows kernel file, it may be corrupt.
You can try to reinstall this, advice is here, though be very careful: www.computerhope.com
Also try doing any Windows updates that are available if that doesn't work.
Remember to back up all data before doing anything this dangerous.
ACPI.sys (Power management)
If you have USB dropouts and are having trouble finding a cause on a seemingly powerful machine, check if your computer is ACPI by opening the device manager:
1. Go to control panel
2. Click system
3. Click the hardware tab
4. Click device manager
5. Click the [+] next to Computer
6. If you see "ACPI uniprocessor PC" or similar, you have ACPI.
Quick method for disabling ACPI power management on some laptops
Try taking your battery out and just run off the power supply, this stops ACPI from trying to manage the battery on some model laptops.
Those things should help, also check our optimization guide --> serato.com

Hi Everybody,
Here is what has happened since I've logged in last:
1.) I'm running a Sony Vaio VGN-310F computer-4G RAM 64Bit OS
2.) Optimized the system to Serato's specs
3.) Turned off internal camera
4.) Tried all USB ports with different cords
5.) Re-Analyed all files and found no corrupt files
6.) Ran DPC report
7.) Checked APCI Battery
And the same error message continues to display when turning ITCH off.
After all of that done, I sent the laptop to a tech to have him strip the garbage from the OS Windows 7, Reinstall the OS Windows 7.
I downloaded the ITCH program from Serato (which is the only application that's running on the laptop, hooked up the Hardware, played about 30 minutes and closed the ITCH program and the same message appears.
Please see the attached files and advise.

Hi Paul Natto,
You've done so much work to get this thing working. It sucks for me to have to tell you i'm still getting the same readouts. The USB port is going crazy and the NDIS is way high.
I'm going to ask some of my colleagues to help out with this. I'm at a loss.
