Link Audio to Video Question

Is it possible to link an audio file to a video file at a specific point to sync the audio and video to match up together. You can match up some songs while other videos may begin with an intro so it throws off the whole idea of syncing. If this can't be done, what do you recommend. Thanks.

Right now I think the video just links with the point in time of the audio.
So if the audio is at 1:27 and you drop a video on top of the audio, the video will be at 1:27 as well. No way to do what you are asking as of yet.
