Gemini BPM-1?

I just acquired a slightly used Gemini BPM-1 rackmount bpm counter. I have found the product manual online but it only has 2 pages in english.

Does anyone have this? Has anyone used this? Any kind of feedback would be cool.

The unit is missing the power adaptor so I don't even know if it works. If anyone thinks it would be worth it, I might go to Radio Shack for another adaptaplug or something. If anyone thinks this thing is bunk, then I won't bother wasting anymore time with it.
