Effects?

I am new too the effects world and am having trouble setting them up. well not setting them up, but making them sound good. Can somebody please give me some pointers on how to properly set the wet/dry/delay? Maybe what is the general idea of effects and filters? I am new to the effects game. Thanks in advance.

im with you bro im new to effects,Im not too good with learning new off books ive read the manual a couple of times but it pretty much flys over my head!Im basicly using my 57 as a 56 but hopefully will figure out effects fairly soon!Only had mine for 2/3 weeks.
