Are you an SSL user? If so, please update your profile so we know what we're looking at and can start helping you.
I have an iBook... so I could help you if you help me.

If you want your system to be more stable, update your OS X and then upgrade your SSL to 1.4. Adding more ram will also help you although it may not be necessary.
I'm using OS 10.3.9, SSL 1.4 and it's smooth as butta. Of course, I see your iBook is older so is that why you haven't upgraded it?

Sixx, right on. Don't let anyone tell you to upgrade your OS. From an insider, I have been informed that 10.3.9 is "the" most robust OS version to date.

I know very little about Mac OSX but I think there may be issues with 10.2.8 and SSL scratchlive.net
I think those issues may only be with installing but like I say, I know very little about Mac OSX

yeh 10.2.8 only rears its head when installing. If you can get ahold of Panther (or Tiger--once you've used spotlight it's a no-brainer upgrade)it's a much faster, more robust in a lot of ways. Jag is starting to get a little long in the tooth and some developers are starting to drop support for it.
Apple would love it if everyone updated to the latest but about 40% if not more are still using Panther.
