Latency/buffer on Windows 7 with the VCI-380?

ReyKwon 2:35 AM - 21 June, 2012
I know with the VCI-300 I could not go all the way down to 1 on Windows 7. On the OSX you can but not windows. Was wondering how low can you set the latency/buffer using the VCI-380 on Windows?

I have an older brother or VCI300 + VFX1
Msi vr601 laptop. 2x1.66GHz and latency set to 2ms.
Of course, excluding the unnecessary windows services optimized :)

Yup I had the same limitation on my 300, but I'm wondering if you can get it down to 1ms on the VCI-380.

Honestly, I do not think ... 1ms is "frozen" Just do not know why: (

Got my VCI-380 today and can confirm that on Windows 7, you are limited at 2ms also just like the 300. Wonder when vestax will fix the drivers.

Hey guys,

Are you experiencing any noticeable latency at 2ms with Windows?

This is just due to the differences in the operating systems and the use of ASIO drivers (Windows) and CoreAudio (Mac). I couldn't tell you 100% what the reason is but I can get someone to jump in here that can.

If you're having noticeable latency problems and issues at your lowest buffer settings i'd recommend hitting up the support team and opening a help request. You'll get much mroe help than posting in the general discussion area :)

You can do this here: serato.com

Cheers,

Sam.
