57SL compatibility questions... HELP!!!

Hey everyone. I don't know much about the 57SL as of right now, and I need some help...
I'm doing a radio show with SSL and an SL1 box. We're doing a DJ focus on my radio program, and a lot of jocks already have SSL. Some of them however just have the SL1 box as well. I'm thinking of switching to the 57SL and I'm wondering...
1) Can DJs that use the SL1 box use my 57SL and still get the same performance?
2) If DJs can use it, will SSL still work the same on the 57SL as using just an SL1 box?
3) I noticed on the website that the main window for the 57SL is a little different than the SL1 box window. Does this screw things up?
Anything other advice peeps can give on this discussion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

everything will work the same...DJs who aren't familiar with the ttm57 will still be able to use their keyboard commands. just work straight away with anyone using a MAC, but PCs require the ttm57 ASIO driver from the scratch live website so you should let them know ahead of time so that they can download it and be prepared.

No, thats wrong. If you use SSL you don't need any ASIO drivers.

but you do need the 57 driver which is different to the ASIO driver. If you have one of the recent versions of SSL then you will already have the drivers on the harddrive you just need to run the driver installer once the 57 is connected.

Windows will ask for a driver, point it to the drivers directory and the proper folder.

Cant the SL1 users just connect to the 57 like a normal mixer with their SL1's?

but this defeats the whole purpose...unless you're daisy chaining so that you can switch djs/laptops without switching to regular vinyl

run your tt's to your sl1 box, then hook up all outputs on the box to the inputs on your 57. you will need to pick up the 9v adapter to power the box, and two USB cables. it's great when taking turns on the wheels with another DJ...no need to switch to traditional vinyl while swapping laptops. just flip your inputs and you're good to go.
