External HD question

OK, I just picked up a 300gb external Seagate HD. Right now I have about 60gb of music mp3's on my internal HD, about 40gb free. When that fills up, I was going to begin to use the external (Right now, I back everything up on DVD) My question is can I use both my internal and external HD's(splitting my iTunes libary in 2 drives) in conjuction with SSL & iTunes. Is that possible? Or, should I just leave all my music on the external drive? Since I don't use my internal HD for anything other than 224kbs mp's, I think it would be a waste of space not to use it wisely...

whatever you wanna do gonzo is cool, itunes and ssl with both work with multiple drives, you just gotta import all the tracks just like you normally would.

Thanks, so when my internal gets full, I just start saving all new songs on the external and leave both drives on and no problem? If I don't have my external drive turned on, the songs on that drive will show up in my libary but I wont be able to play them, is that correct? Can I even do it with 2 external drives, 1 being an iPod? Thanks again...
