i want to buy the serato scratch live to use it to mix with my pioneer cd player.

i have 2 vendors in my country. apparently one vendor still has to order the scratch live and it will take about 10-15days to reach here. the other vendor has a last piece but he says that it is probably edition 1 coz it has been sitting in his shop for some time.

guys, what is the difference of edition 1 or 2 ? ... does it have new features or fixes?

the only difference is the control records.
version 1 control reecords had an issue that causes the pitch to drift, which ssl corrected with software, version 2 doesnt have that issue.
cv01, cv02, that's the only difference, the hardware is still the same, and the software is upgradeable here.

by control records, you mean VINYL? ... or does it affect cds too ?

It only affects the vinyls, CV01 (CV->Control Vinyl) version 01 or version 02. The CDs are the same... if you are not going to be using the vinyls then it won't make a difference. Even if you get CV01 you can always buy CV02 later.

so you guys are saying that i should just go ahead to get the old edition rather then the new edition?


its costing me about USD705 Can someone get a cheaper one for me in the US and set it to me? .... i saw some people in ebay selling about 500USD .. but iam afraid of buying as they are used. will serato US or someone else be willing to ship out to me in singapore?

its not the unit giving trouble its the control vinyl. If u read the package it say it comes with 2 control vinyl 2 cds software 4 rca's wires and a usb cable. the unit is fine its just some stores have the old version which came with the cv01 vinyl.

THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IN THE EDITION IS THE RECORDS, NOTHING MORE!!!
the hardware interface is the same, and the software is upgradeable via here for free.
i got my unit shortly after it came out, they had an issue with the records that were pressed, repressed the records, issue fixed, 20 bucks or something for new records.
the hardware unit is the same, and the software i have upgraded here.
wasnt trying to be an ass, but the control vinyl/records/wax/12" pieces of plastic are the ONLY difference, and you can buy them almost anywhere online.
