57 users in dark venues

For those of you that have to setup and work in dark venues, I bought and used a USB powered LED light and used it for 4 hours straight and it didnt create a hiccup. My setup includes a 57 running 1.8, macbook with 2 gigs of ram. I just thought I would post this since the 57 isnt very friendly to use in the dark. The light was just a single LED light and it put out plenty of light to see the EQ knobs and cue buttons.

that's a good idea. Do you have a link to the one you used? I've only had to use my 57 in a few dark settings but it was after I had been using it for a while so I was rather used to it.

At first it was "odd" not really seeing the knobs, but I just used my instinct and sure enough, hit them pretty consistently.

Are there kind of light which have USB in and a USB out so that you can plug it in between the mixer and the usb cable coming from the computer which normally would go into the mixer?

I use a USB powered LED light every week at my residency since it's so dark. I bought mine from thinkgeek.com and it's BRIGHT!

I love me some thinkgeek!

I bought mine from meritline.com. Its only a single led, but it puts out plenty of light. I think I paid 6 bucks shipped.
