for those that roll to gigs with a laptop, can you recommend any bags?
id like it to hold at least 30 records
headphones
needles in a case
serato box
cable pouch
laptop slip, well padded
bottle holder? etc..storage pockets..

any tips?

shure bags are pretty good. Not a lot of cushioining though.

They sell these dope bags at guitar center called "gig skinz" also avail at www.pssl.com i think, and they have a bunch of different sizes.

I use the alienware backpack that came with my laptop. Its sweet...Has a special pocket for the laptop & plenty of pockets for SL1, external harddrive, wireless mouse etcetc.

Go to google.com and type in "burton dj bag" I dont own one but somewon in the forum posted that they have it and it looks sweeeeet, im thinking of getting one myself, has a compartment for laptop and records and it can still fit the ssl box along with a needle case, wires and headphones

Ahh yes...I got the Gig Skinz bag too on ebay and I love it! Display bag with two small "x" in the bottom but for about 27bux with shipping.. cant beat that..... Fits 15.4 laptop, about 20 records or my Vestax 07 mixer, SSL, pocket for extra cables, wooden vestax needle box, and a bottle of water! Got lucky, he doesnt seem to have any more display units for sale.
