I am opening up Scratch live like I have always done and importing my music folders on my mac over to Scratch live "crate and playlist" window. Everything goes fine. I can see my folders and the music files. Then when I get done to exit out of Scratch live it will not let me exit. I have to force quit the program. Once I do this I go back in to Scratch live to view my folders and files (which I assume should remain in the playlist window) and nothing is there.

I have been on Serato for the last month with virtually no problems at all with importing music files and having them stored in the playlist window. I have done my last two gigs with it with no issues. But the only thing I can think of doing recently different was playing with the other Scratch live modes like REL and INT and going back to ABS and in doing so Scratch live began working real weird where it was crashing on me. So I decided to stay on ABS mode like before. But now I am experiencing the above issues with saving music files and program not exiting on its own. Help.

Hi there PBMME,

When you are dragging the music folder into the Crate and Playlist window of Scratch Live, are you dragging it off the desktop or locating it in "FILES" in Scratch Live?

Cheers :)

Hi there PBMME, our support team has been swamped with requests over the last week, as a couple of staff have been away sick. I apologize for this delay.

Are you transferring the files over from an External HD or the Internal Mac hard drive? It might help to have them on your internal (maybe temporarily on your desktop) for Scratch Live to help read them.

Here a few things you can try:

• Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Scratch Live? Sometimes this can fix the problem.

• Try creating a new "_Serato_" folder by following these instructions.

1. Close all programs
2. Go to the default Music folder "Music"
3. Rename the folder "_Serato_" to "old_Serato_"
4. Open Scratch Live, at this point you will have NO crates or files. This is completely normal.
5. Try re-importing a good portion of music to play around with for testing. We are just looking to see if Scratch Live can close/exit properly without hanging or crashing.

Try a few shut downs, offline and online (hardware disconnected and connected) and see how you get on.

Finally, if all that doesn't help, you might need to try deleting your databaseV2 file. There is an instructional article on how to do this here > serato.com
Note: Rebuilding the databaseV2 file will revert all of the 'date added' dates to today's date and will delete any files out of Scratch Live that aren't currently in a crate or playlist.

Try these couple of steps, and let me know if it changes anything for you :)

Cheers
