I wish I could submit a screen shot of this issue. But I deleted a create a few months ago and for some reason it keeps reappearing on start up. Inside the create it also contains a deleted song. I've been using SSL for about 4 years and I've never had this issue. Help?

Are you using an external hard drive to store music or is everything located on your internal HD?

Please try this:
Exit SSL and keep it closed
Open your User Music folder and locate the _Serato_ folder
Within the _Serato_ folder open the Subcrates folder
Find the crate you wish to get rid of and delete it from the Subcrates folder
Restart SSL
Any luck?

Nope... I checked that folder and the create that keeps reappearing was not there. However, it still loads this "Phantom" create about once a week.

If your internal HD partitioned? Do you have a secondary internal drive installed in your Mac?

I don't believe so... it's how ever Apple had it set up upon purchase. I bought this MacBook Pro last July so it's not even a year old. I've never partitioned anything.

I uploaded another pic... see about. That "Zumba" create and the katy perry song keep coming up even thought I've deleted them a million times.

Use Spotlight to search your Mac for a _Serato_ folder. How many come up?
Please upload the found _Serato_ folder(s) by attaching them to this thread, please :)

it's says just one... what do you mean by attaching? I won't let me upload the entire folder.

Sorry for the delay. I was out of the office on vacation and unable to reply.
Please create a .dmg file copy of your _Serato_ folder by holding Ctrl and clicking on the folder. Choose either compress or archive to create the .dmg file and then attach it to this thread :)

No problem. A zip file will do the trick. Checking your folder now :)

I couldn't locate a crate called Zumba. Is this the crate that keeps loading after SSL restarts?

Yes sir but only every once in a while. It doesn't do it every time. Or even every other time. Just once in a blue moon. Very strange.

We may have tried this already, but if not, lets give it a go.
Use Spotlight and search your Macintosh HD for a _Serato_ folder and a ScratchLIVE folder and see if more than one (not a backup type) comes up in the search.

Only one _Serato_ folder that I can see. When I type in ScratchLIVE is just goes to the program. I'll attach a screen shot.

Thanks for the screen shot. What an odd issue indeed. Do you ever connect a small flash drive or another type of secondary drive to your Mac?

I use Time Machine to back up my MacBook Pro to an external hdd through my airport extreme. I also have another hdd that I use to back up my music but that's it. I don't use either of my external hdd's with Serato. All music files that are used in my ssl are located on my internal drive in my MacBook Pro. When ssl does it's weekly back up, it backs up to my internal drive on my MacBook Pro.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info. If the Zumba crate pops up again, exit SSL and use Spotlight to search Zumba.crate and see if it finds anything.
