HI everyone my name is anthony going by DJ VES-SPA. after 20 years being married and having kids i have decided to go back into DJing again. of cause things have come a long way and i figured what the hell.
ok for my problem:
i have dell laptop with serato intro on it and about 1200 songs in different crates. i just bought a new acer (cheap i know) with 4gb memory, 500 gb hard drive memory running on a intel i5. so this will handle what i am doning for now.
i have followed the step by step on how to move my music library from an existing computer into a new computer using an external drive.
i was able to copy the serato folder and all the music into the external drive into the new computer. pressed the scan button as suggest, and this is where it ends....
again i tried looking for the missing files button and was going to move the folder into it, but there was no other button next to the iscan button.
i am tired of hours trying to do and am thinking of just starting over by copying the music into my computer and creating new crates one song at a time again.
what am i doing wrong or missing. any help would be great since i have not hung out with my wife in a week with all this stuff.

Hey Dj Ves-spa,
Let's take a look, sounds like you have done everything right but missed something in the rescanning stage.
serato.com
Is (10) on this page the stage you are not able to find the relocate lost files icon? Press files on itch then it should appear?
Let me know how you are going and i'll work through this last part with you :)
Regards

Dave thank you so much for your help but I did forget to mention I am using serato intro for now. I decided to start over with new crates and just plugginbg in all the songs again. Worked out fine when I got delayed four hours for a flight.
The collection I now have is 11,000 + songs thank god I only had 600 to install.
I decided to add approx 50 to 60 gb of music into the computer and place all or it on an external harddrive as well.
Thank you again dave.
