I am running the latest Mac OS X Lion, I have seen windows solutions but that's not the point here. Is there anyone out there who has broadcasted to a shoutcast with ITCH on a mac, could you give a fellow DJ the steps on how you did so?
Thanks,

I use Nicecast.
I get my sound off my NS7's master out and route it back to my laptop's LINE IN.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

This is my current setup.
Running a DDJ-S1 with a XLR to MIDI connected to a surround sound system which operates on with a headphone jack. So instead of running the XLR to MIDI to the surround sound, would I run that to the Mac's headphone jack?

+1 for NiceCast - I run into Motu UltraLite MK3 Hybrid or Presonus FireBox - works great and has the abiltiy to record your broadcast at the same time.

He means "Mini" as in mini jack.
And yes, going into your mac's line in will work. I recommend a free tool called "B.U.T.T." (Broadcast using this tool) it works great and doesn't take up ANY system resources.

Thanks, But I connect the the stream and everything and using my DDJ-S1 as a sound card and I get no sound, I am using RCA to Mini from the Master Out to the Mac's Line in and I get no levels or sound. The only way to get sound to a shoutcast is via the mac's mic but it's very unclear and sounds horrible.

Which program are you using to broadcast out?....Nicecast or BUTT ?
I've never used BUTT, so I don't know much about it.
In the other hand, in Nicecast, you also need to make sure you've selected Line In as the source for the audio within Nicecast to get the sound in.
