ay
Yor are djing and when you type in the search for another song, Serato freezes up and doesn't thaw out until the song is over or a certain amount of time has gone by? Have had this issue with PC and Mac using external hard drives.

all the time. But I can also confirm that I have other things running at the same time... at the same damn time (couldn't resist) such as mail, ical, safari, and adobe. But it is intermittent. It happened this morning while I was recording which it didn't mess up the recording as I was recording through Serato. The last time it did it was probably ealier this year. Has happened at gigs though. Could it be my external hard drive? It's a Western Digital 3TB for Mac with a USB 3.0 going through USB 2.0 port.

If you're running that much at once it's more than likely that it's too much running.

As far as I know SSL will always freeze on graphics when it's on the limit to try and leave the audio uninterrupted.

Mine freezes sometimes when if i dont shutdown or restart my laptop (which i seldomly do).
I need to start shutting it down more often instead of just folding the screen down.

I would also guess that the drive is an issue. Large capacity drives that spin slow are always going to be a bottleneck for th data. I would reccomend a Firewire drive that spins at 7k or above.
