DROP OUT ON HEADPHONES WHEN ECHO EFFECT IS CUED ON

I just got this mixer a few weeks ago so I'm still half a newbie at it, but that aside, when my crossfader is all the way to one side, and I turn on the cue for effects, it actually cuts off the signal for the cue in the headphones. Now when I slide the cross fader over a smigin, it's back in my cue.. So it's sensitive to the crossfader's position, which if your cue is properly selected that should matter at all.. It doesn't do this with all the effects, none what so ever with LFO's.. Seems just to be with echo features.. Now this might just be some kind of weird design flaw, but it seems to me that you should be able to monitor this no problem, and without this, the cue feature would kinda be pointless.. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately this is how it works. The echo effects are pre fade so if the fader is closed you can't hear them. I agree how ever it's definitely counter intuitive. The idea of the cue is that it is for cueing the effect. So if you've already got a track in the mix, without the effect running, you can turn on cue for an effect and hear it in your headphones before you actually turn the effect on.

Wow.. Thank you.. I am quite surprised that the engineers let this one slip through the cracks... Still it doesn't make sense that 2 effects out of the whole bunch don't work like that but i guess it'll just have to do. This should definitely go into the next update for the system. I'm also surprised that no one else has had an issue, or complained about it..

I don't think this is likely to change, it's been there since the start and was raised at the time. The echo effects are post-fader (mistake above) all the other effects are pre-fader so you can cue them without opening the fader.
