how do i save tracks with out using my internal hard drive

right now iam just using mp3 cds untill i get my external hard drive but i guess what my question is in order to keep my crates in order and everything do i need to keep my laptop on all the time?

you don't need to keep your laptop on, but you can't exit scratch live. when you launch ssl, if the external volumes that store the music in your crates aren't present (all the source cd's), then ssl will remove the crate.
