Files turn Pink when they are moved, renamed or deleted.

Did you recently do any of this to your Music Files?

Do you know for a fact that all this Music is actually still on the computer (outside of Scratch Live) and still plays just fine?

I did...I bought a new external(2TB). I was running all my music off of two different externals(each 1TB). I consolidated the music from both to the single external. How do I get them back in using the new one with everything on it?
And yes,the files work outside of SSL...I can play them in virtual,itunes and on wmplayer.

SSL crashes when I try to "locate lost files"....
I get a msg dat reads like this:

X....Runtime Error!!

Program: C:\Program Files\Serato\Scratchlive\Scratchlive.exe

"This applicationhas requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information."

This is the msg I get everytime.....PLEASE HELP??!

Are you still using the 1.9.2 version? Have you tried dragging the Music Folders ontop of the Relocate Button - as oppossed to just clicking on the Relocate button?

sam stuff happens to me. lost half of my music. I have tried everything. no luck on the suggestion above. You basically have to recreate playlist in your itunes instead of crates then have your serato read itunes and you can use you itunes play list as your crates. This is just a fast fix that worked for until you are able to import the songs back into new crates in your serato.

If you guys are running older versions I would suggest doing the above with the Latest Version 2.4.1

ok...so i jus downloaded 2.4.1 so why is it that when I try to "start" it (without da box),it loads for a second,and then quits,as if I never tried to start it??

it won't load up....idk why??

Go into the External HD and into the _Serato_ Folder
Give the DatabaseV2 file this name DatabaseV2OLD
Now open the Program

The Runtime Error should give you more details. Copy and Paste those details here. Runtime errors are Windows issues only. Alot of time its due to JAVA Updates, Viruses or something what Windows is lacking.

Have you checked for all Windows Updates?

dat msg is all I get. Then when I try to advance from dat screen/msg....serato quits

as for my music.....all music in my crates are red. When I try to locate lost files it doesn't seem to replace them. I even try to drag folders to crates and nothing happens.My music is now on a different drive then the one it was originally on. Does dat make a huge difference...???

Same thing happened to me if you consoildated your music it turns red and i had to re import all my music 900 cds night before to had to use cdjs i think i tried replugging in my external hard drive with my new one and I now have a few red tracks not sure if they were there before but I wont do it again i just upgraded to a 750 gb hybird ss drive to be safe I would try the same I import @ 300k and it should hold 40,000 songs> try that if you cant get it to work

I am getting so frustrated....I'm jus fortunate dat I don't have any gigs lined up until next month. Can someone please tell me why I'm having issues? Why all of a sudden? I can't reload/relocate my music back into my crates. Everytime I start serato and it loads my crates and starts 'scanning the drive all my music is on. At some point in da scan,something happens and shuts serato down giving me the various problem msgs. Is da issue my computer....da program...da hard drive(brand spanking new)...what?
