I am shocked to find that HID mode does not mirror the Pioneers 0.02% pitch increments at the 6% pitch range. It has something closer 0.015% which means the display is just showing a rounded number most times and the slider is thereforeis far too sensitive. I am constantantly struggling to land the fader of my CDJ 400 on to the pitch I desire. I understand this problem is the same across all the Pioneer HID compatible models.
If the point of native mode is to make the use of Pioneer CDJs more intuative with Serato then this must be fixed.

Whoa there!! Are you just so used to your tracks that you know the exact pitch the next track needs to be at to mix into the song your currently playing?
If you are just watching the CDJ pitch to beat match your track, why not just line the BPM's up....
Oh wait i see your on CDJ400's I take it they dont have a bpm display down to .1
In that case. pitch the playing track down until it just changes to the next bpm and then move the pitch fader up until the BPM just changes to the next number, then you know for sure its at the exact bpm.. Now do the same with the track you want to play. And you shouldn't have any issues.
I dont think there is such a thing as too sensitive of a pitch slider.HID control works great. I dont think your fix will ever happen. Its the way serato is designed to work and getting them to change something like that is near impossible.

The problem is If i have two tunes that are The Same speed and one is playing at Plus 1.02% then i have to match that on The other deck and it is really fiddly to get it to land on that number.

Ok i assume you have the KEY lock turned on inside serato. If not you should. Nobody likes chipmunk vocals. NOBODY DJ's included is gonna notice you change the BPM of the playing track live from +1.02% to unity (+-0%). do the change in the 1st breakdown and nobody will ever know...

It's not people noticing the bpm change that I'm worried about. What i am saying is that when setting the bpm of my track, if I know it has to be at (for example) exactly +1.02% to match the bpm of the tune that is playing I would have no problem in setting my CDJ 400 to that speed in timecode mode. The process would take me a couple of seconds.
However in HID native the process would be more like
1. first nude of of pitch slider landson +1.00%
2. Tiniest extra nudge lands it on +1.04%
3. Tiniest nudge back lands it on +0.99%
4. Tiniest nudge opposite way lands it on +1.04% again
and eventually after like 20 seconds of fiddling it will land on +1.02%
As msoultan said in another thread, Pioneer picked the 0.02% increments for a reason, the slider can't handle being more accurate than that.
