I'm looking at buying the Dell Vostro 1400 for cheap and wanted to know if it really matters for SSL: Intel Core Duo 1.4 vs 1.6 GHZ?
Also, will either of these be faster than my current Pent M 1.6 GHZ?
Thanks.

get a 2.4 lol...
but on a serious note,
nah they are not that much different....
and yes alot faster, because of front side bus, larger Cache Size...

integrated cards are.... ok. They'll be just fine for Serato.. but if you're looking to do Video-SSL, video editing, or pc gaming, they're not very good.

i have always wondered about 128 being enough. i always thought integrated wasnt a good ideacause it pulls from what you need... but only 128 i thought was a little low at the same time

128 isnt terrible. You can run some solid games with that.. But going bigger isnt terribly expensive either.

im also considering a vostro 1400 because of the price...will a dual core 1.4 be good enough for doing video-sl if i get a 128 or better to go with it?

Try asking that question in the Help section, you will get better responses there since its SSL related.

Thanks everyone,
I ended up getting a Dell Latitude D630 with a 2.0 Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 gig ram, 128 video card and XP.
I hadn't really looked at the Latitudes before, but the price on the Vostro I wanted went up, so I did some more looking. Hope I made a good choice.
