i took this out of the box just to test for you (and i was curious)
out of the box it cannot control SV.
you have to enable MIDI in the setup tab (Allow midi assignments of mixer controls) and map the knobs or buttons. problem is all of the knobs and buttons will continue to perform their original function. you cannot disconnect them from scratchlive.
tested all knobs and buttons here is what you can and can't map.
sp-6 assign yes
back no
scroll yes
load/scroll no
loops auto/manual yes
bars/select no
loop/roll/save/delete no
aux section (all) yes
mic section (all) yes
PGM1-2 section (all) yes
mix section (all) yes
fx section (all) yes
CUES 1-5, 1-5 no *which i find utterly ridiculous
CUES/SAMPLES yes
cue (all) yes
phones section (all) yes
no the 62 is going back in the box to collect dust.

I was happy with the 62 as well, but this new djm t1 is the business so far. Hope it stays that way.

That video make me want to give the DJM t1 a shot again..... If only they came out with a mixer like that with 4 channels.... The DJM2000 i play on just doesn't do it well enough.

Yeah it's dope. The 57sl with a better sound card and two usb ports would of done it for me! One thing that made it easy for me to move past Rane was that the 62 didn't inherit all the things I loved about the 57sl, in fact, it lost them. The 62 is a far lighter mixer and they did improve on the sound quality, but the mixer feels cheap and personally I don't like all the colors or the layout and it doesn't fix in a lot of the 10" mixer coffins (so good luck with that to most of you). The 61 would of been a great mixer, but it doesn't have xlr outputs (which is small), but falls into the no buy category because of that. My 1st thought was to just wait for Rane to release another mixer, but let's be honest here, they take forever. Traktor hasn't impressed me (looks like a program for kids who can't buy real DJ equipment) so it's Serato all the way. Looking forward to a new mixer from Rane .Till then let it be noted I'm the 1st to Rock a DJM T1 like this lol

i heard the djm t-1 dropped down to $1000. if it had serato built in. it would be a def consider!

Not going to lie... That's a big killer for me (having to carry a box and use more usb ports). Just don't see myself leaving the DJM T1 for the Sixty Two.

I agree the djm 2000 is the best mixer on the market in my opinion. I talked with elliot marx and had the inofader and inojuster installed on my djm 2000 and it's a beast. I also own a pioneer svm-1000 and two ttm 57sl's and bought the rane 62. After having the rane 62 for a week I returned it. In my opinion the 62 is a downgrade from the 57 and not being ME compatible is a deal breaker for me.

Yeah there is. Perfect to one person needs. But what I consider perfect might be meaningless to someone else. And that mixer might be the perfect one for my needs. The 57 might go on craigslist this evening

$1000 is still too much. $800 would be good. I heard that the soundcard inside of the mixer has too much latency and dose not work well with turntables and timecodes... I did hear it works great with cdj's in HID mode and just useing the soundcard for an audio output.

Well i can do anything i want with it. I have most of the midi pages mapped out for video efx and such. But its not setup well to work for loops and cue points. Its really just the layout i have issues with. It is a great mixer. But i want more dedicated midi controls for likes like loops efx cues sample bank.
I also DJ with an MPD32, 2x CDJ2000, and Maudio Xsession pro (for video efx controls).

though the DJM2000 have only have shown up on one DJ's rider that i have ever seen. and it was only an option to have no required.
I want to sell my Xone92 and buy a DJM900. It shows up on lots of riders, so i can rent it out and make some of my money back. I have made over 2g's off renting my cdj's over the past 2 years. So i would want todo the same with my mixer. I have rented the Xone out lots also. but not as often as i like.

Code:E, I got the djmt1 for 900, but I'm sure you can find it for 850, I just wanted it right then and there. Also, it did seem to have a latency problem with traktor, but I thought it was the way I set it up (haven't had time to look into it), but with serato no problem at all. More details?

Yes there is a latency problem out of the box. They give you Traktor Pro free now via download when you buy the DJM-T1 and they say you're getting Traktor Pro 2.5 once it comes out May30th, SO, IF YOU BUY THIS MIXER DON'T PAY TO UPGRADE!!!
Easy fix for the latency problem is to open Traktor>Preferences>Audio Setup>Latency
Just move the orange bar/line (whatever you call it) all the way to the left.
Update the firmware to 2.00.
Link here: pioneerdj.com
Update the driver software: pioneerdj.com
For some reason after doing this I had to plug the turntables directly into the mixer for Traktor to work. Before I didn't need to remove the Serato box. Idk, really don't have any more time to test today.

Not on pioneers registered online retailers list. I wouldn't buy anything off of them.... It could be a refurb or china knockoff.
