playd with some random mp4 video files that I have and attached them to some mp3 tracks played with for about 30 mins or so and seems to be pretty solid, USB light came on a couple times, using macbook pro 2 gig ram, with usb2.0 external harddrive.. will probably convert everything over to a firewire external once I start putting my collection together of music videos. will continue to play with it

I have a 2.16 Macbook (no Pro) with 2 Gigs of mem...time to upgrade!

You should be good with those specs. I have a mb and a mbp and the only difference I noticed was 2 or 3 more transitions on the mbp.
