Live HD camera feed

Working on a project for my company, and looking for some guidance on live HD streaming components.
I'm looking to stream a large room, no local capture, in 720p to services like uStream, Livestream, etc. Currently looking at a Sony EVI-HD1 camera for the video. Not too concerned with the audio capture just yet.
My main concern is the processor usage for an HD stream capture vs SD, and the graphics for this type of system. The system I'm looking to use for the feed is a Dell Precision...not sure on the specs yet..which is kind of the point of this post. I'm not opposed to using a Mac, however my boss is.
I'm open to suggestions for wide angle small form stationary cams. I would actually perfer that over PTZ cams. USB web cams aren't an option though. Any input on any of the system would be appreciated. Thanks.

Panasonic GH2 w/ a wide angle lens is a great streaming cam - it can output a clean HDMI signal and you can pipe that into a Matrox MXO2 Mini or similar box (Blackmagic etc) and then into Wirecast or a similar software solution.

All of that gear is then highly re-usable or re-sellable

Haven't really spent a lot of time looking at DSLRs for this. That is definitely an option. Looking into reviews on that camera right now. The only thing that would concern me would be the amount of precapture setup time prior to sending a feed. This will be setup for an "end-user" who will more than likely come in and expect the camera to show up as a camera device or webcam. It's not a huge thing, but one that would have to be addressed on our end. Thanks!
The other thing is processor speed on a capture through USB like the Matrox or Blackmagic. I'm assuming an i5 would be plenty...probably 6 or 8 gigs of ram on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit?

end-user is def an issue, although any kind of HD streaming is going to be subject to that

i've done 1080p via wirecast w/ that same setup on an older MacBook Pro - Core 2 Duo low 2 GHz range - def doesn't leave much processor headroom, but i5 or i7 should be much better

can't speak for Windows either

Yeah. My first choice was a Mac Mini i5 using a Blackmagic Ultrastudio 3D Thunderbolt and then bringing the audio in with ceiling mics and a Shure SCM410. Audio I'm still not sure on. I'm pretty sold on the video setup, but I have to have a PC recommendation for my boss since all of the users will be familiar with Windows.
I'm leaning towards a similar setup using an Optiplex or a Precision with an i5 or i7 and a Matrox product with at least an XLR-in.

Finally have this installed and running. Just thought I would update.
Dell Precision T5500 six core Xeon running Win 7 Enterprise 64 bit and 8 gigs of RAM, with an Nvidea Quadro FX 1800, Blackmagic Decklink Duo SDI, and two Sony EVI-HD1 cams connected via HD-SDI.
For software we are using Wirecast Pro to stream to FMS and uStream. We also use Wirecast Pro to broadcast to a virtual camera that can be used in Skype and online meeting platforms. Really loving the versitility of this program in adding desktop views through presenter. So far so good.
