I'll be in town from Fri-Mon. I'm not looking for any top 40/mainstream clubs. I want to go to an underground hip hop spot. If there is anywhere that has bboy battles, mc battles, anything like that please let me know where. Also would be interested in checking out some local drum and bass spots if you know of any. apt is on 418 west 13th street, in the meat packing district. very trendy area with great bar and lounges. it's preety happening every night of the week. if you want to hear strictly hip hop in a low key type place, check out "bob's" on eldridge street in the lower east side. on wednesday night at about 7 or 8 pm. where are you staying in nyc?

I wish I could find a tight spot in nyc for pure hip hop/breaks with a lot of bboy sessions. there was a tight spot in Seattle...haven't found a place like that here yet, but I'm sure they are out there. NYC is pretty big so its gonna take a while before I find my "spot"
