we HAVE to be able to fall back on old software. not being able to would cause...i don't even want to think what kind of uproar it would cause. no one has complained about it so far.
just make sure you have your key saved for vsl when you want to go back to it.

I don't know about using the demo. I'm using a mbp with ME and for the 62 I'm using a pc.

So before I press up..what is it, will I have 2 serial numbers? How does it work?

2 serial numbers. 1 for video-sl and one for serato video.

when you use ssl 2.3.3 it uses video-sl

when you use ssl 2.4.1 and up it uses serato video

You can still use that for Video SL. Just make sure you keep a note of it somewhere safe.

Once you upgrade, your Video-SL serial number will be converted on Serato.com to your Serato Video serial. Both authorizations will be saved in your Scratch Live preferences though so both will be authorized when using either versions.

yes. 2.3.3 and earlier will use the video-sl plugin and 2.4.1 and up will use the serato video plugin. each will maintain their own settings and use their corresponding serial numbers.

I'm buying a new MacBook. I want to load VSL not SV. Will I be able to use my VSL serial number to upload VSL (and not SV) to my new computer?

yes
