Modify your Mixes HELP!

I've been recording my mixes directly on to an Older Model CD Recorder via SSL. Everything works just fine. But when ever I record a 75 min mix CD. It records 1 huge mp3/wav file of 100MB. Since, the CD recorder does not detect when the next song comes during mixing. I'm left with one big song. Now, my questions is does anyone know of any software that I can use to spilt the entire recorded file into mutable tracks. The option that the CD Recorder comes with is too manual and takes away from the live mixing. I would have to keep pressing the pause and record bottom all the time. I heard Nero had that option but not sure…any ideas?
Thanks,
Thanks,

Yup Nero can do it without pauses between the tracks...I use it all the time when I make long mixes.

Do you know what Version of Nero has that option and what's it called on the program? Is it hard to do?

I've got version 6.6 installed. All you have to do is check the no pause between tracks button and add markers on the audio file where you want them. It's a little time consuming cause you need to do it pretty much in real time, but it works...

I've always wondered how to put "markers" for a long mix. Can you explain? I have nero 7 ultra edition

no problem..
Motion, once you add your track, highlight it and a new window will pop up. Select track properties and click on indexes, limits and splits. The file will now load and you will have the ability to add an index anywhere in the file, as many as you want and can even fine tune them. When you are done adding indexes you need to "split at index positions". Then just go back and burn the file with the "no pause between tracks" option checked. One more thing, don't do this to your original file as the changes are permanent. I always do it to a copy in case something goes wrong....good luck!

I don't see the "split at indez position" option...
I went to edit and found the option to insert track markets... I have them tracked now and ready to burn what's next?

I did figure out that I can save the tracks as files to any location then import them into itunes or any burn program and get the tracked mixtape but how do I do the option you are talking about?

did you click and highlight the file after you dragged or dropped it in the window? once you do that, you will have the option to click on track properties and just follow what I said above. maybe you have a different software version???

if you were able to insert track markers the you should be able to index the file...once you do that burn it with no pauses.

Motion, it may be hard to see put look at this pic of my screen. The properties tab is the fourth one down on the top right side of the image. Once you click that, you will need to click on idexes, splits, limits and that will take you to the wave file where you can add your indexes. Once you add them, split the file at the indexes and burn without pauses. Hope this helps...
