the cops are so cool to me. I've been pulled over ONCE and as soon as they realized I worked for where I work at they were super nice, introducing themselves, etc etc. They even said they will keep a closer eye on my car while it's parked (they had mentioned they always saw it in the same spot).

I haven't been pulled over since.

I see both side of this situation because I use to smoke. And I've gotten the 3rd degree for it as well. Its sad to hear you got screwed with for no reason and it's even more sad to know there's more cops out there under the influence when they are suppose to enforce that rule. At least you admit you were wrong in these situations(shows maturity), and again ur correct they wouldnt have known had they not stopped you for no reason. Good point and totally agreed with! I see it in law enforcements history that society's views have been created due to this. Changing this is not technically my job, my job is to do my job properly and professionally and show that at least afew of us are not bad apples. And I agree with your last statement because I know more dickheads who are cops compared to those of my friends who I think would make fair and decent cops. Again the percentages are fuckin imbalanced.



Agreed about no one is forcing me to become one, and I am well aware of that. But I know this is something I have wanted to do since I was a kid. I have a thing for helping people in dire need, granted I do enjoy the occasional adrenaline rush I get from chasing folks and the occasional physical encounter, but its not the reason why I chose this career.

@ Caramac - Totally agreed with, 100%! The system is totally flawed when major crimes are given a slap on the wrist, and small crimes have the book thrown at them. Small street level drug dealers do major fed time, when major drug dealers get off with a slap on the wrist. It's a revolving door: The guy I arrest today, I will see on the street again at the end of the week depending on the circumstances. I also believe alot of people are in jail for petty stuff when major criminals should be locked up.

Example: Daly City, Calif - drove into the starbucks to drop off my friend, no where to park and had to make a U turn out. decided to drive into handicap space so I wouldn't have to back out. cop drove right behind me so i couldn't back up and gave me a ticket for parking in a handicap zone.

Good Example: drunk driving, didn't pass sobriety test, but still let go but I was a law student and had not criminal record.
