1ST OFF, I'M RUNNING A DELL ALIENWARE M17X...WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE, INTEL I7 CPU/Q 720 @ 1.60GHZ/ 6 GIGS OF RAM 64 BIT...I'M HAVING MIDI PROBLEMS, ITS LIKE THE USB PORT LOST POWER AND CAUSED FREEZE UPS, THEN BACK TO NORMAL, IT DOES THIS AT ANY RANDOM MOMENT/ PLUS I HAVE A 1.5 TB HARD DRIVE WITH MUSIC/ AND A 1TB HARD DRIVE FOR VIDEOS, I CANT IMPORT ALL MY TRACKS, THE OPERATING SYSTEM TELLS ME THAT I DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH MEMORY TO IMPORT ALL MY FILES AND THEN IT SHUTS DOWN (ITCH), IF SOMEONE CAN CONTACT ME AT (614)264-6531 MY NAME IS CURTIS BROWN

1.5 terabyte hard drive, can't load all my music into serato dj, says no memory then shuts down.

Hey Curtis,

This is happening because the Serato DJ program can't handle that much music. It is a 32bit application and it can only handle a limited amount of virtual memory. You will have to look at downsizing your music library. I'd get rid of any duplicates first then stuff you don't play.

i figured that but scratchlive don't have this problem?

Scratch Live is not as memory intensive. With all the new effects and features of Serato DJ it's become a lot more memory intensive. We are working on trying it, however for now large databases can make the program unstable.
