Crossfader Tensioning

I'd appreciate any input or advice if anyone has any.
I know turntablists are happy with loose/buttery faders, but I'm not a turntablist.
I like my crossfaders with some tension in them. Eclectic Beats was suppose to release the X-Fader Mark II's this year (which offer this option as one of their features), but I've seen nothing as yet (just talk). Anyone know of a way to add tension to a crossfader (without screwing the mixer up, of course)?

sixxx, how do you change it on the 57? isn't that risky? It's the same as on a TTM56. It's not as accurate as a dial tension adjust but it works. Bend the copper spring so it clears the rail and you will have super slick cuts. I like to bend it so it clears under the rail, so it can't pop up over and scrape the top of the faceplate. To add tension, I guess you would let it touch the rail and try to put more pressure on it.
The spring mod is pretty safe, as opposed to modding the cut-in lag, then it gets kind of risky.
@Russ, no idea about the Empath as it doesn't use the Rane magnetic crossfader. You might want to check with Penny & Giles and see if they can help you.
