What's going on SSL Family? Have anyone heard of "Trip Hip Hop"? I've done a search through out the Forum, but no luck. Does anyone here know where I can get some from? Looking for some tracks with that groovie jazzy feel to it.

RJD2
Morcheeba (my fav)
UNKLE
Boomclick
there's a few others but that's all I have really. It's cool stuff if you are in the mood. Check out Morcheeba - The Mashup. It's one of my favorite mix tapes.

I used to be really into trip hop, so I think I can be of some help.
Portishead - anything by them is trip hop; they're one of the OG's of trip hop
Massive Attack - another one of the founders of trip hop. Check out "Angel" and "Teardrop"
Sneaker Pimps - Six Underground
Bjork - A lot of her older stuff
Tricky - Aftermath
Thievery Corporation - Lebanese Blonde
DJ Shadow - Six Days, Organ Donor
Cut Chemist - The Garden
The Avalanches - Not technically trip hop, but they have the same vibe and are closely related. Listen to their first album. They also have free mixes up on their site www.theavalanches.com
I don't really no where you can get these tracks. I'm pretty sure there all on iTunes or any other online music store.
BTW, it's called Trip Hop, not Trip Hip Hop

Most things released between 92-97 on Mo'Wax or Ninja Tune could fall into that category. Try and grab a copy of one of the Ninja Tune Compilations, or either of the Mo'Wax "Headz" albums.

It's really good music when you have some company and want the atmosphere to be chill but not boring/tiring.
