NEW feature in Os X to stream your computer to Apple TV in HD! Goodbye Adapters!

DjWoody 8:36 PM - 16 February, 2012
This is Awesome!!!

For those of us who do video, the new version of Os X Mountain Lion will stream what's in your screen in HD to Apple TV. Hopefully this means we can stream a second screen instead of just one screen. If you can do this, good bye video adapters!!!

The feature is called AirPlay Mirroring.

I'm wondering how many "cats" are left for them to name an operating system after.

I think they should be running out soon.

and that did not include mountain lion or genus names like panther or puma.
but i doubt they will name an OS rusty-spotted cat or flat-headed cat or geoffroy.
so, yes, there list is probably limited.

pretty cool indeed....But this won't work unless serato writes code(?) to allow the option to let the video output window to be airplayed. In other words, the menu that allows the option to send it to your tv will have to be available. I'm not sure if that's an apple or serato thing. But, if it's a serato thing and it's related to video........you can expect to wait at least 2 years for that to happen....;-P......OUCH!

btw, the whole "cat" thing was pretty funny and actually had me thinking the same thing....how many cats are left?.....lol

there's a slight delay when you do this. plus you don't really want to rely on wifi at your gigs. you can easily get dropped and/or have interference.

Closed network wireless N, verify the broadcast is on a different radio channel than any other wi-fi device in the area, run on 5 GHz if that's an option.
Theortically that would work. It would be interesteding to test that. :-)
