You need to contact Behringer. There is a setting you must activate on the Mixer in order for it to allow Midi.
We have heard that allowing Midi on the Mixer will disable the original function of the control.
For example: The Fader can be a Midi Fader but it will no longer Fade Audio.
Contact Behringer for exact details regarding that Mixer.

You need to first set which areas on the mixer you want as MIDI, go into the DDM4000 setup menu (push and hold the center "Console Setup" knob in the middle of the mixer beneath the screen). There scroll down to MIDI, then check which parts on the mixer you want as MIDI (channel, samper, mic, etc.).
Secondly, make sure you are connecting the right cord on the back of the mixer. You want to connect the cable to the MIDI "Out" port on the back of the DDM.

We usually recommend the Midi Uno Sport: www.notation.com
I would contact the manufacturer of your cable to check compatability with Win 7.

Never used that cord before so I'm not sure of any known issues.

It should work fine, but you have to be careful and mindful which DIN end of the cable you plug in. One DIN cable is for MIDI output, the other is for MIDI input. I can't tell from the picture, but are the DIN ends of the cable labeled for which one is "In" and which one is "Out?" Try both DIN ends if they are not labeled. Again, make sure you're plugging into the "Out" port on the back of the DDM. You don't use the In or THRU ports.
Also on the main body of the USB cable to are little LEDs for In and Out. Those should blink whenever you press something on the DDM (assuming it's setup correctly). Really only the "Out" LED should be blinking. If you don't see the Out LED blinking when you press something on the DDM, then you might have the wrong cable end plugged into the back of the DDM, try the other end then.
