hello ... i have my music files scattered around my computer ,,,,,some on the desktop some on different drives etc ,,,, i would like to sort them onto one hard drive in some sort of tidy order ,but i have made crates on serato ....how can i organise my music on my computer and still have these crates active ? i understand that if i move my music from 1 folder to another serato wont find it ....is there a way to re scan my music somy crates still work .... sorry if i have not explained my self well enough .....if i have not please feel free to ask me for more information ...... thanks in advance Sean

If you move your music around, simply follow the directions in this article to fix all your pink/file not found songs > serato.com < How-to: Use the Relocate Lost Files Feature

i copied all my tracks to a new folder as the how to said and when i reloaded serato up to relocate lost files ....i have no crates or songs ???? oops

i have my serato back up files with the crates in on my desktop ...is there a way to put them into serato?

Make sure to not move your _Serato_ folders. They need to remain exactly where they are for SSL to read your library.
The Internal HD: Your _Serato_ folder must be in your My Music folder
The External HD: Your _Serato_ folder must remain at the root of your drive (i.e. not inside another folder).

hey thanks shaun !!!!!! i copied my serato back up folders to my music folder and all is goood :)
im now relocating my lost files thanks a million ..... this has made my serato life a happy place ,,,,,

i have 1 more question :) now that i have all my songs on my external drive ....when i take this to a gig will my crates show up on there system ..... or do i need to copy a file to this drive ?????

As long as you followed the instructions here > Moving Your Library and Crates to a New Computer or Hard Drive > serato.com < or achieved the same results in a different way, you'll be cool :)
