I recently decided to clean up my music,(too many multiples) My library was at about 40,000 songs(the true number is around 13,000, songs in multiples many times over) so I consolidated all of my music onto one external hard drive, then used mac keeper to find multiples and delete them, I wiped iTunes and My mac of all music, then had iTunes read the external hard drive to rebuild the library, I open SSL and all songs are pink (which is expected) but when I try to relocate lost files it doesn't find them even when its searching the hard drive, I did have a handful of songs in the iTunes tab in SSL but no where near whats in the library, I saw a suggestion about renaming The xml file so I renamed it to OLDItuneslibray.xml and now it can't find iTunes, What I ended up doing is going to files onSSL and dragging and dropping the file that contains all my music. now I have the database of white but a whole crapload of pink songs and no iTunes. What I want essentially is to use iTunes to create and add songs to SSL(easier to keep organized) What should I have done in this situation and how do I achieve it now?

This problem would have been simply solved had you just unchecked the 'read iTunes library' option prior to trying to relocate the files.
At this point I'm guessing iTunes isn't reading the correct info?

You guessed right! I've settled on having to restock my SSL crates and starting over, just wanna know what to do to get SSL to read iTunes and any info i may need if SSL is not displaying all iTunes songs or playlists. Thanks

Is SSL reading anything from iTunes?
Do you currently have the 'read iTunes library' option checked?
Do you see a blue 'Library' folder in your crate section?
If so, if you click on the folder do you see your playlists?

SSL is not reading anything from iTunes, The "read iTunes library" is checked and there is no blue iTunes folder in SSL.

Also when I Uncheck and then re-check "read iTunes library" and go back into SSL screen it says: iTunes library could not be found at the bottom of the screen!

This is due to a corrupt iTunes database file.
Unfortunately this is one of the reasons why we would not suggest having SSL read your iTunes library.
You will need to create a new iTunes database file.
I would suggest contacting Apple and asking them how you can create a new iTunes database file but keep all of your current playlist info.
Once you create a new iTunes database file it will load in SSL.
