I've had my vci-300 for well over 2 years. no problems, flawless
At the end of a gig last week, my crossfader went out. the song on the left deck was playing and when i faded to the right side, the left deck was still playing at the maximum volume. when i played a song on the right deck, the vci showed that it was receiving the signal but i had no audio output. i closed itch and it crashed upon reopening.
after troubleshooting at home. here are my findings
1. the right deck will only play if the CF curve is all the way open (in a 10:00 o'clock position)
2. the right deck will no longer scratch. if i move the right jog wheel in a scratching motion, i get no sound.
3. if i press a button or use any knobs on the left deck while the right deck is playing, i get dropouts.
i get no dropouts when the left deck is playing. i can press any button on the right deck and it has no effect on the audio from the left deck. no dropout.
4. i plugged up my vci to my windows computer to use MIDI-OX. everything shows up on midi-ox except for the crossfader. i get no response from the cross fader.
5. ived used several different usb cables, different usb ports on two different computers. i get the same results. my vci is secure in a marathon vci case at all times.
6. ive tried version 1.5 , 1.7, and 2.0 and i get the same results.
7. ive never had any problems with my vci until now. no platter problems, fader problems, no dropout.
your help is greatly appreciated.
