Everytime I connect the mic to my setup, and turn the gain up i get a horrible feedback. I'm using a Shure SM 58. Is there an adjustment in the software to correct this? Whenever I use the same mic with my NS7 I have no such problems. Please help

No responses or theories in over a week. I guess I'm the first to have a Mic problem, so Ron M, or any other Vestax tech... I'm waiting for your response.

I guess everyone that uses a Vci 300 doesn't use the MIC at all, or am I just extremely unlucky to be the only person with this problem.

I had the same issue and did some research and the problem is due to the way the mic input is processed through the usb. Somehow it routes twice or something like that. Long Story short this is a defect in the way the system was created and the issue is found in the MKI and MKII so bottom line is the Mic Input on the VCI 300 is for show. You'll need to use an external mixer to run your mic's through (I did this for a gig although I did not want to) and the feedback will go away. I also read that if you run it through the line input, the sound won't be processed through the USB so that should work as well.

Hey Mic Terror
Thanks for the response. It's good to know I'm not the only one that has experienced this. I don't have an external mixer, so I'll try running it through the line input like you suggested. I just need to get cables to do that. What's a good external mixer that I could use with this system?
