Recently i had to get my RAM replaced and once i came back from the computer shop and started my serato program then i started getting audio dropouts but they are not indicated by the lights on the serato program like normal ones. I noticed that my CPU is running the program around 35%....i believe that is whats the problem but i do not know how to increase it. I also downloaded the troubleshoot USB dropouts documents found on serato and did all the steps but i cannot find my output file for this. Is there anything that can be done???

Does the audio cut out completely or are the dropouts quick little audio blips?
DJ General Mealz 6:18 PM - 8 February, 2012
They are little blips...but it only happens when I scroll up and down to look for a song or search for a song

Does increasing the USB audio buffer setting have any affect?

Does the problem happen when scrolling through tracks in a crate? How about when scrolling through the ALL library list?
DJ General Mealz 6:28 PM - 8 February, 2012
my usb buffer is increased to the max number and yes it happens when i scroll through both the crates and the library..and even when i send a track to a deck

Are you using an external hard drive to store music? If so, does this problem occur when the external drive is disconnected?
DJ General Mealz 6:42 PM - 8 February, 2012
Yes i am using an External HArddrive but the problem continues when i unplug the harddrive also

Make sure your PC is up to date. Check for driver, BIOS and chipset updates. In addition, make sure your video card drivers and all up to date and see if it helps :)

It's strange that this issue appeared after installing new RAM.
DJ General Mealz 6:55 PM - 8 February, 2012
yea, i had two 500mb+ RAM sticks and now i have one 1gb+ RAM stick because the other RAM drive was not responding. How do i check to see if my computer is up to date and all those drivers are? i followed the usb dropouts article that was posted on your website but i couldnt find the data.

Also do you think this could be a problem because my serato is only running 35% of the CPU ?

Go to the manufacturers site for your PC and they should have a way to check your computer for updates.

I just checked and all of my updates are on my computer.....also i noticed whenever i am in the setup menu when i have music playing that the music blips in and out also. I just dont understand what the problem is, since everything else works fine on my computer and serato has been running great for a year now

It sounds like the issue is related (somehow) to your new RAM. I'm curious if the problem would go away if you put your old RAM back in (or a different type/brand of RAM).
