I was informed about the 2.3.3 bug fix.Since using it i have had continued problems which include crates that have disappeared and some that remain have been left blank.I need to know can these be recovered.

Just bought the NS6,i loaded itch and the problem remains.Crates are all shuffled about and again some are left blank. Before i could just retag and the track listing would appear. This is a far greater issue as there is just a blank folder. As stated in a previous mail with AnthonyS it all began last November when i started using Video-SL.I need some suggestions as soon as possible.

Using a Macbook 10.5.8 Snow leopard
Graphics Intel GMA X3100

regards

Jack.

It sounds like your crates may have got corrupt due to your external drive not being properly ejected.
If a crate file gets corrupt then the files inside the crate get deleted.

At this point we can try using Scratch Live's backup folder and hopefully get your crate files back.

First try this:

Shut down SSL.
Open your external drive.
Open the _Serato_ folder.
Rename the Subcrates folder so it says 'Subcrates1'.
Now re-open SSL.

If your crates still don't come back try this:

Shut down SSL.
Open your external drive.
Rename the _Serato_ folder so it reads _Serato_1.
Rename the _Serato_backup folder so it simply says _Serato_.
Now re-open SSL.

Hopefully one of those two things brings back your crates.
If not, and you haven't created your own backup of the _Serato_ folder on your external, then you'll have to rebuild your crates.

In the future.. once you get your library back up and running I would suggest creating your own backup of the _Serato_ folder and put it some place safe.
If anything were to happen to your crates you could delete the current _Serato_ folder and replace it with your own backup.

This part of the forum is for Scratch Live.
If you have any Itch or VSL related questions you'll want to post in their sections of the forum.

Hi

That seems to have done the trick, thanks.

I just received my new external hard drive and want to move all music to it.That would include my desktop and existing hard drive. What is the best way to do it to make sure Serato picks up the new drive.I basically want to put all music in one folder so when i open my hard drive, music is not dotted everywhere.Good house keeping so to speak.

thanks

jack.
