All of wires are connected properly.
I open Scratch Live and it opens as if i have the SL4 connected. ie it shows me the decks.
But then i try and play and nothing happens. it doesn't recognize it at all.
In the SL 4 Audio Control Panel it says SL 4 is not connected and is searching but finding nothing..

Hey David,

When SSL is open it will say the SL4 is not connected in the Control Panel. This is normal.
The driver is installed correctly as you see the virtual decks when you open SSL.

What are you using to control the virtual decks (cd players or turntables)?
What inputs on the SL4 are you plugging them into?

If your using cd decks you'll want to make sure the dipswitches on the input side of the SL4 are set to 'Line'.
If your using turntables set the switches to 'Phono'.

Once that is done, go into the Hardware tab of the Setup screen, and make sure the Primary Decks are set according to what inputs your plugging your cd players or turntables into.
ie... if your plugging the sources into inputs 1 and 2 make sure your Primary Decks are set to 1 and 2.

Now play the control tone on your cd players or turntables.
What do you see in the scope views in Setup?
What tracking percentage are you getting when playing the control tone (found in the lower right corner of each scope)?

Hi Zach,

I am using CDJ's and the dip switches are correct.
Like you said, the drivers are installed correctly as i see the virtual decks but i think there is nothing coming through.

When on the hardware tab and the CDJ's playing i am getting no software feedback at all.

There is no reading on the scope at all. 0%

And what inputs are you plugging the cdjs into on the SL4?
What are your primary decks set to?
David C 7:13 PM - 6 February, 2012
I am using inputs 1 and 2 on the SL4.
I am using outputs 1 and 2 and setting my primary decks to 1 + 2.

Put the virtual decks in stack view by clicking on one of the links in the upper left corner of the main screen in SSL.

Once in stack view you will see the four different decks.

You should then see the USB assignment section for each deck.

Make sure deck 1 is set to Channel 1 and that deck 2 is set to Channel 2.

From there, just make sure the 'thru' option is turned OFF for those decks.

Also, go to the setup screen and make sure the zoom sliders to the left and right of the scope view is set to 1x.

Play the control tone... what do you see in the scope views now?

Followed your instructions.

Still seeing nothing. 0% and no scope at all.

Hi Zach..

Tried the SL4 on my cousins denon set up. He uses an SL2 and has no issues.
I'm going to assume that my box is shot.

How do i go about sending it in for a warranty repair?
