I'm trying to figure out how to get three or four tracks going at once using only two turntables. I see the article for playing with one turntable, but I can't get that to work with what I need. I guess the best way to describe it is like this:
If I'm in all decks stack mode and I'm playing two records in the middle two lanes, and everything is cool, my match is solid...I want to take something from lane 3 and toss it to lane 4 where it will keep playing in internal mode. now lane 3 is empty and i can load a new track and control that with my turntable. So, now i have control over lanes 2 and three, lane 4 is beat matched and just rolling along happily with lane 2 and I'm bring in something new on lane 3.
doing the same between lanes 1 and 2 would naturally follow, but baring some seriously minimal sounds it may just be excessive. Either way i can't even get my head around the primary and secondary deck thing.
I hope that makes sense. And i really hope you can help me figure out how to get it working. I wish i had the dough and space to just get another turntable, but i just put my lunch for the next 3 months into this truly awesome piece of 68
Thanks

Sounds like you're doing the right thing... What you've described is the method for using those extra decks...
What is your actual question? ;-)

the question is how one goes about doing that. I can't figure out what I'm supposed to do.

Click on the spinning deck icon, and drag the track to an empty deck.
Make sure you've got instant doubles turned on in the setup menu.

Awesome. Now I know I may be asking too much but can that be done with midi? I'd love to just never even touch my computer or mouse while I play. It's the main reason I got the 68 over the the box. If not that's cool I've gotten over worse things than a fear of mice before. And thanks for the help on a school night. :)

Yes there is an Instant Doubles button that can be Midi mapped. Click Midi, Open the Midi panel and you will see the buttons there for Primary and Secondary decks. .

OK, i think i'm almost there but i'm stuck. This instant doubles thing can it be made to send something from a primary deck to a secondary one? it seems the instant double only works between decks of the same layer....which does me no good unless i'm missing something.

You can only instant double between primary decks when using the Midi Buttons or when using the Keybaord.
You can always drag and drop to instant double aswell. This is the only way to go from Primary to Secondary.
