serato is it a bug or just over looked??
phatbob 11:39 PM - 3 February, 2012
Using 2 controllers is not supported at all.

Serato are not going to help you with that.
radikarl 6:47 AM - 4 February, 2012
he is not using them at the same time.
the problem here is that the option set with hardware A is still engaged for hardware B but it is not available there.

the same problem can occur when you assign all decks to the left side of the crossfader of the NS6. when you now plug in a VCI300, both decks are on the left.

however, a simple restart of ITCH should fix this. This problem is only present when hot plugging between two devices

Question: When you swap out the controllers, you have to stop the tracks that are playing anyway correct? In other words, you can't plug in two controllers at the same time because it creates a conflict, and if you disconnect one first, and then connect the second, there is an automatic disruption correct?

you can only have one controller plugged in at a anytime so yes when changing there is a disruption the way around this is to use a cd player, ipad, iphone, ect.... when changing or what i do is have every thing ready with only the USB left to plug in then talk to the people like the next show coming up or send a few shouts out to the club, promoters, some sexy girls ect.... at the same time i plug in my USB few secs good to go.
DJ1855 6:18 PM - 13 February, 2012
I get it. So, really the only difference between swapping out the you'd like to do it and the way Serato forces us to do so now, is that there is some extra time of shutting down and restarting Itch. Also correct my if I'm wrong, when you do shut down, and restart you don't end up with the crossfader issue, correct?

Btw, I'm not trying to be a smart arse. I'm just really trying to narrow this down because I can see a few case scenarios where I start out with one controller and switch into another at some point in the night.
dj lashes 11:22 PM - 13 February, 2012
wrong the crossfader stays OFF till you plug in the VCI 300 and turn it on in the setting.

so if am at home with my vci300 and then go to a show with my ns6 and let say i never turn the cross fader on when i had the vci300 on at home then at the show with me ns6 there is no way for me to turn it on
DJ1855 9:25 AM - 14 February, 2012
Ouch, That's a problem! So basically if you forget to do it before leaving the house, when you get to the gig, you have re-install the software all together?

Has this been explained to Serato this way and what has their response been? At the very minimum, even if there is no capability of swapping in the middle of a show, there needs to be a solution to this.

Is there a way to change the the default location of the Serato files. If there was, we could install two version 1) with it's default locations (my music folder) and 2) in a custom folder so we end up with two different installs and each using two different preference files.
phatbob 10:05 AM - 14 February, 2012
Serato haven't responded because DJ Lashes hasn't made a help request.

Come on Lashes, you know they don't check the general discussions very often...
