Since only a select few here really try to help, most just bitch about crappy edits, but don't tell what's wrong or who's edits.

Everything is wrong with everyone edits! ... couldn't resist...

Unless I have a tremendous amount of time (or as a paid consultant)... I find it hard to review everyone's edits and point out constructively what can be done to improve that particular edit. And not everyone is open to constructive criticism, some may think that their edit is the best ever! Not realizing that their videos has a serious amount of seizure inducing effects, bad frame blending, off sync vocals, flash frames around a pointless border effect!

In short... less is more, pay attention to the ACTUAL music you are painting to video to do it justice, and most important... watch your edit a few times with others BEFORE posting, submitting and over advertising it on the web of this brand new fantastic shit-don't-stink edit!

I don't mean that. I mean if someone says some edits are shit and don't point out why, it's better not to say anything at all.

We on episode 3. ...we'll get there...every episode can't span the entire spectrum of DVs options. When Sv has a final release we'll do that one.
We didn't do the me video until the release was final...and we will do the same for vdj when that drops ...

The first part is for people that don't know anything about ME. It was a EP we shoot the first night we started the show. We shoot 3 EP that night. You got to cut us some slack we never did this be for but we are trying our best to keep EP short but's not easy when we have a lot on our minds. Sorry "Damehype"....... :-)

By the way we are also upgrading our video equipment to make the each EP look better but remember it's a free show and we are doing this for free.

Projector mapping is very nice. Fix the odd angles I have to work with at gigs.

you can still use ME people just don't upgrade if your setup works fine then why upgrade.

Get a DJM 900 and a SL4 or get a Rane 68!

if you have multiple tvs and lets say 1 projector...can you map just the image of the projector? i know the answer is gonna be no but im just asking....

There might be a way but you will need Mad Mapper for that... I'll look in to it for you.

The V4 is not going to do that for you...you need to map multiple outputs to multiple screens. The V4 only has one output. Well it actually has 2 outputs...but one will be S-Video and one will be composite.

You really need multiple graphic cards to do what he wants to do. Or you can just run a straight connection to the projector and change the projector input when you are playing :)

Mad Mapper is a very good program, I've been playing with the demo. I would love to one day use it and do a really cool show.

The projection mapping was a gig-saver this past weekend.

Another perk of that feature is something I ran into a few weeks back.

the club has about forty 55 inch tvs. and 2 huge Projectors.
the scan converter is literally in the wall, its nice they hooked up a VGA plug right next to the
booth, but it needed to be adjusted.
you are about 60 pixels too far on the right, and about 40 too long on the Bottom.

The only resultions availible on the 2ndary output were 480/720/1080i/1080p
so there was no fiddling with that.

Then it struck me.
I went into ME's advanced output and dragged the screen display to match the TV display.
which, truth be told, if i had it maped to a knob it would have been easier.
but in the end, the screen looked loads better and you were losing real estate!

Mad Mapper is one of those tools where you run it and just wonder at what kind of person has the talent and time to make something like that, on their own, for free.

I used ME's advanced outpu the same way the other day... it saved me with a project that was not leveled right and just did not have the time to level it..... It looked great!

Yes madmapper is the shit for sure. It's cool that ME has a subtle projection mapping for some gigs you might have where shit just doesn't line up right.
Can't wait to use that.

We are doing people on the west coast.... DJ CFLO is from the west coast and the first interview that never happened was from the west coast but he never showed cause he was to big and never showed up... He did not even call, until the next day to say sorry, I am not putting a name.... As the west coast come's out east then or when we go out west then the west will get more love.

and as mentioned we have def been hit up by a impressive sized list of peeps.

we are only sort of acting as the voice of the community, the show is only as strong
as those who watch it, give feedback, and support it.
we have certainly entertained the Idea opf having different affiliates in different places
, but at the same time we want to remain as consistant as possible, not be a portal for a handful of people to do interviews and such.
as much as we like the interviews, its certainly just 1 of many things we wanted to do.
we have been working tirelesslty on certain episodes that probably arent gonna air for months,,, just doing the research, reaching out to companies, gathering data,
I now know why interns are such a crucial element to tv shows.

as always we are completly open to suggestions, criticisms and whatnot.
it will only make things better for everyone.

I've just watched the latest show and the Cinq is great but it has it's downfalls.

1 the sticker that they say to use to put on your laptop is not removable. Once it's on it's on. I'll probably have to buy a new lid for my Mac before I can sell. I'm scared I'll crack the screen trying to remove it. I've called them about this and they just said they'll send me a new bracket. The glue on the vinyl sticker is super strong so I'll have to think twice before I stick it on my next Mac.

2 the screen is pretty much unusable for watching videos or being used as a preview screen. The lag isooff the charts. I thought it would be a great way to record DVDs for demo's to pass out but no, it just won't work.

Other then those 2 things I'll continue to use it. I use it like Crush does, I have Resolume on it with SSL or VDJ on my main screen. It's never failed on me in the 6/7 months I've been using it.
