Backup Questions

djbriguy 5:56 AM 19 November 2007
"HELP! My hard drive says 0 files!!!"

"I lost all 10,000 of my songs!"

^^These quotes have had me scurred so I went out and bought a backup today... I copied all of the files on the current EXT HD that I use at gigs onto the newly purchased EXT HD.

Question:
When you do occuring back ups, do you just do one massive copy again? Or do you load ONLY the newly added files onto the backup drive?

I'd like my drives to be mirrored.

Question:
I tend to add/adjust loops and ques on the fly when I'm out DJing.. Would it be smarter to do one massive (backup) copy on each backup date and let ir override all of the old files? Or is that not a "safe" thing to do?

Thanks in advance, my homies.

New ones, from time to time a complete backup. This is a life saver for me:

Is doing a manual backup a bad idea? (drag n drop) ?

I don't really mind. I make a folder each month to download/organize my new music into on my external drive.

example,
Sep 2007
Oct 2007
Nov 2007...

So by time I'm ready for another backup, the only new folder i'll have is Dec 2007. I'm planning to backup every month or so... thanks for the help guys!
