Hi YS,
Once you have selected a USER slot on your SELECT knob, then press SHIFT on your VCI-300 then using the MOD knob on your VFX-1 to select the FX, then press the MOD knob in, to set/save this FX to the user slot.
I hope that makes sense :)
Let me know if you need any further help.

Hello Martin and thanks for this reply.
I success in assigning one of the existing effect to USER...
I remember there was other effects like BRAKE that existed before i changed my computer.

Kind regards.

Hey,
The list of effects in ITCH are as follows:
HPF
LPF
PHASER
FLANGER
TREMOLO
REPEATER
REVERSER
BRAKER
CRUSHER
DELAY
ECHO
REVERB
I believe at the time the VFX-1 was first brought in, only the effects listed on the unit, existed in ITCH. The user slot are there for introduced effects in later versions.
Looking at the unit it seems REVERSER, REPEATER and BRAKER are the three effects that were brought into ITCH after the VFX-1 came out, so these would be most likely your USER slot effects.

You are definitively right.
My question is:
How can i get back these 3 effects lost?
Thanks for your patience.

Is there away to lock parameters for the the preset effects?
Right now I have Echo and Flanger taking up USER slots because it's too time consuming to set them back the way I like every time, but the USER slot will... Basic stuff like maxing out Echo to 100%

Hey YS,
Are you saying that you are unable to select these effects at all and that they do not appear for you in ITCH at all? You should be able to scroll through the available effects following the instructions I gave above:
DJ CAPRO,
I believe you can save some parameters on the preset effects by double clicking with the MOD knob, but parameters like depth and beats, will always depend on where your knob is set at the time.
When you double click you will see the parameters flash white when they are saving.

Thanks Martin, that helps immensely.
I wish the knobs worked like in SSL (relative setting) as fiddling the BEATS knob around for different FX is cumbersome. It's a shame the software is locked to the numbers on the barely visible dial instead of making use of the screen...
Still, much better now - thank you
PS. Speaking of the screen it would be great if the FX could blink in the GUI. A lot of time I'll bring in a tune still on ECHO because it's so faint.

Hi DJ CAPRO,
I understand where you are coming from, and quite often Scratch Live is compared with ITCH when a user is on both programs.
Hopefully in the future we can bring in more of the functionality that Scratch Live has, to ITCH, although at this stage I could not say for sure when it will happen.
Thanks :)

As expected. Thanks for your help, the effects aren't half as bad with certain modifiers locked.

Dear Martin,
It is the reason of my first question.
i push shift on my VCI, use the MOD knob but nothing change and i don't see the effect list.
I still don't find the 3 effects (braker, reverser and repeater) even when i follow your instructions.
Users buttons are taken by "delay" 3 times.
I tried to install again and update programs but i don't find it.
Please help.
thank you very much.

Hey YS,
Are you positive you are using the latest version, ITCH 2.1?
You can double check by going into the setup of ITCH and it should say down the bottom left hand corner something like "21040" which is the version you should be using.
You mentioned this was working before you changed your computer. What kind of computer were your using? Are you able to double check it is still working with this previous computer or is that not possible anymore?
Thanks
