Hello,
I was wondering if the option is possible in sl.
On the 2000 you can instant make a 4 beat loop. When holding the button it will go up to a 8 beat loop.
Would be cool to support this feature in serato too.

If using the 2000's in HID mode, hit 4 beat loop to set a 4 beat loop then whilst holding down the loop out button, hit 4 beat loop again to double the loop to 8, 16 or 32...

I run cdjs2ks in HID mode every week. and the only issue is the skipping issue which they say they are working on.

I dont think it is a serato issue, i was just hoping it was. I think it is a issue with the CDJ itself. Pioneer f'ed up with 1st run cdj's. I heard a rumor that they didnt put long enough spring under the platter and thats why they skip cause it think its being depressed.

Code-E, the skipping issue when using serto is not caused by the springs, I don't know where you heard or saw this. If it was the springs, it would happen even when not using serato. I use both weekly, when using serato it jumps under heavy bass, when I bypass serato, it works perfect, the springs are fine

i heard that pioneer was able to use an early firmware update to remove the issue when using them not in HID mode. like they decreased its sensitivity or something like that. But the fix wasn't applied to HID mode for some reason.

Though you could be right Bri Chi, you have always been a good source of information on the pioneer forum. I could be mistaken.
I thought this here fixed the issue with serato.... I have yet todo it to mine.... Bri Chi do you know if it works you are mentioned in the description. Watchwww.youtube.com

that makes no sense, at no point was there an issue with the 2000 where it skipped under heavy conditions when in standalone mode, I have owned them from day 1 of release. The video you posted to thinking it was a fix this has NOTHING to do with serato or jumping under heavy bass, it has to do with pitch bending and dragging the platter, his fix (which if you notice in his comments he gives me thanks for teaching him this fix) again has NOTHING to do with the bug in serato you are referring too, so no, the first batch of cdj's are not fucked up, not sure where you are getting your info from. In whole, if they shipped 10,000 cdj's and 20 of them have tighter springs that need a fix, thats not too bad. if your statement was true then A: there would not be a fw fix to fix an issue with the spring and B: it would be more vocal and recalls would exist

also like I mentioned in you pioneer post, Sam from serato has already said it is a serato issue and they have to fix it
It will be fixed in the long run, but it's not the kind of fix that will be able to just be added into a small point release. It's a larger architectural issue that will take some time sorry.
As much as I would like to give you guys more information at this stage I can't sorry. We are aware of this problem though and are working to resolve it.
Let me know if you have further questions.
Sam.

We haven't forgotten about this. In order for these issues to be resolved and to be solid for the future, there is a large rewrite of existing code that needs to happen. Unfortunately this hasn't been a priority and therefore with the limited development resources we have, we have been unable to commit to this as of yet.It will be fixed in the long run, but it's not the kind of fix that will be able to just be added into a small point release. It's a larger architectural issue that will take some time sorry.

No worries.... I understand... you have never been mean in the past, so i can understand your shortness in this post.
I just find that it doesn't matter how much bass there is near my CDJ's to cause them to skip. But i am always in a Heavy bass postion in the club. so i never attached the bass skipping issue. I found it happend more ofter when i would release the platter after pitch bending or bumping into the side of it when jumping around or just at completely random times usually well pitch bending the other deck to match the 2 tracks up.
I never seen that post from sam... and im on here alot. thank you for bringing it to my attention. :)

Its april.... I really hope my 2000's are not the hot shit anymore... I have not rented them out nearly enough times to pay for them yet.... I really hope thats just a rumor. Then again an updated 2000 might fix all of its current issues.

I'm hoping for some new toys this month too, there are no issues with mine, I just like new gear :).
the 2000's are over 2.5 years old so you can't blame Pioneer for releasing an updated unit

They still better not come out with another new one for at least another year.

I honestly can't see why they would, the 2000's now are pretty solid and any fixes that are needed can be done via FW updates

There will be a new version this year, and they will use the link feature and recordbox to provide... AUTOSYNC.
