Currently i have bought video sl, and do not want to buy the 57sl mixer, what other midi controllers can i use to control the video and audio ,but not spend to much. This is to keep at home, I do not mix other than at my house.

Hey jimmy,

The only devices that you can use to control both the video faders and fade the audio are either the Rane TTM 57SL / Sixty-Eight or any other MIDI capable mixer such as a Pioneer DJM800 or 900.

I'll move this to the general discussion area though as the other users will probably know some more :)

Sam.

Hi Jimmycreator.

If you do a quick search on the forum, the topic has been covered many times.

But as Samuel S points out many midi mixers or midi enabled controller will work, it will just vary on your budget and what you are actually trying to achieve from VSL.

I only use the video, not any transitions effects etc, so i've just mapped the auto crossfader to each side of the number 3 button on my Denon HC4500 controller, so when i press the button it will auto fade over from player to player.

If you want to use the full effects of VSl, look at the Akai pads etc, but there is loads out there.
Do a quick search and good luck.
