Hey everyone, I do a weekly at a bar that is interested in running video. I've never done video before, so I'm not familiar with the standard setup places have, so I was wondering if you guys could assist.
Need help spec'ing out the equipment to run video to 8-12 lcd flat panels from my 2009 macbook pro.
Thanks!

Can anyone assist with this? Going to need to make the purchase soon.
I know I will need some type of video splitter, just not sure what the standard is, or if there even is one.
Thanks!

Best bet is to call a AV company to do the job, HDMI is probably the best way, but the most expensive. Composite can be done cheap but the end result isn't as good. One place I did was connected to basic cable at every TV, I put an RF modulator right before their basic cable splits, set the TV to channel 3, and every TV in the place had video no extra wiring... But not as good as composite, component or HDMI..

Thanks for the replies!
The bar's tv setup is not installed yet. We're in the process of moving and the plan was to have the wiring for video installed prior to mounting the tv's. They will be running cable, not satellite, and the way their cable is setup at the old bar is there is a coax splitter in the office, which goes out to all the tv's/cable boxes.
The biggest thing I needed help with was figuring out what most places use for their video, whether it's HDMI or composite. Are video's typically HD resolution, which would fully utilize HDMI?
Thanks again!

Most video DJ's use VGA or HDMI. You can't really go wrong with both, but VGA is probably your most versatile. HDMI can be picky depending on older laptops. Most video DJ's use 640 x on their resolutions and if encoded correctly from a good source looks good on a TV, especially newer videos.
You can get pretty inexpensive Amp/splitters from mono price. You can also get Cat 5 Baluns from there to do long distances.
